I have set up this website for two reasons.

我建立这个网站有两个原因。

Firstly, I am learning Chinese and this website give me an opportunity to practice my written Chinese and expand my Chinese vocabulary.

首先我在学中文。这个网站让我有机会练习我的书面中文并扩大我的中文词汇量。。

The second reason is that I have met many Chinese students studying in the U.K. who are often oblivious to the history and culture that surrounds them.

第二个原因是我遇到过很多在英国留学的中国学生，他们往往对周围的历史和文化浑然不觉。

I have made this website bilingual so that Chinese people can practice their English too.

我已经把这个网站变成双语的，这样中国人可以练习他们的英语。

I therefore hope that Chinese language speakers will find this website both educational and entertaining.
